Our Melbourne Laboratory has an opportunity for a full-time Senior Analytical Chemist in our Organics Department with a minimum 5 years' experience using LC instrumentation.
Working in a NATA Accredited laboratory, you will have exceptional attention to detail and be a self-starter. Working in a fast-paced environment, the ability to work under pressure, adhere to strict quality standards and deadlines are essential.
As a Senior Chemist, you will be responsible for non-routine testing, mentoring and training of staff, trouble-shooting and maintenance as well as checking and approving results. This includes developing new methodologies and optimising processes to increase the current sample load through the lab.
An experience in instrumental techniques, such as LC-MS/MS and GC-MS is essential as well as extensive knowledge on method development and validation with a range of sample matrix types.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science Degree or higher, great organisational skills, able to work in a team environment, excellent attention to detail, initiative and great interpersonal skills.
