With laboratories across Australia, we provide a broad range of testing services in environmental chemistry, microbiology, asbestos, workplace exposure and air monitoring. We service Environmental Consultants, Mines, Occupational Hygienists, Government Departments and the public by providing quality service and independent results.
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join the Darwin office.
The ideal candidate will be well organised and enjoy working by themselves. Science (Lab/Enviro/Mine) would be a definite plus, but not essential.
Reporting to the National Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Taking and actioning client calls / emails
- Providing laboratory testing advice
- Accepting client samples & forwarding to Sydney and Perth Laboratories
- Sample pickups from customers
- Preparing and sending sampling containers to customers
- Managing stock
- Updating CRM
- Generating quotes
- Assisting the BDM's generate sales
- Office Management
The ideal candidate will have:
- Laboratory knowledge - preferably Chemical
- Willingness to learn about Laboratories
- Able to work alone
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
- Qualifications Preferable but not essential (Science - Chemistry preferred)

Senior Analytical Chemist

- Tertiary qualifications: Bachelor of Science (Chemistry major)

Our laboratories Envirolab Services, MPL Laboratories and and LABTEC in Auckland provide a broad range of testing services in environmental chemistry, microbiology, asbestos, workplace exposure and air monitoring. We service Environmental Consultants, Mining Companies, Occupational Hygienists, Government Departments and the general public by providing quality service and independent results.
Our Sydney Laboratory has an opportunity for a full-time Senior Analytical Chemist in our Organics Department with a minimum 5 years' experience. Working in a NATA Accredited laboratory, you will have exceptional attention to detail and be a self-starter. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so the ability to work under pressure, adhere to quality standards and deadlines are essential.
As a Senior Chemist, you will be responsible for non-routine testing, mentoring and training of staff, trouble-shooting and maintenance, checking and approving results. This includes developing new methodologies and optimising processes to increase the current sample load through the lab. This role is the deputy for the Supervisor when required. The role back fills as required to ensure results are issued on time.
Experience in instrumental techniques such as GC, GGMS and Purge and Trap techniques is essential. Along with a strong knowledge of software such as Chemstation, Enviroquant and Mass Hunter and trouble shooting skills.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry major), great organisational skills, able to work in a team environment, excellent attention to detail, initiative and great interpersonal skills.
