COVID Update: Envirolab Services Melbourne Operations During Five-day Lockdown

Friday, 12 February, 2021

The Victorian (Vic) Government today announced the entire state will return to a stage-four lockdown that will commence at 11:59pm on Friday, 12 February until 11:59pm on Wednesday night, 17 February. The announcement comes in response to the growing coronavirus outbreak linked to a Melbourne quarantine hotel. Residents will be only be allowed to leave home to perform essential activities, including shopping, care and caregiving, exercise and essential work.

A list of who is considered an "essential worker" was made available online, initially on the Twitter account of the Premier of Victoria, Daniel Andrews.

Our priority remains on ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, clients and the community. To comply with the Vic Government’s guidelines, the following measures will apply during the snap lockdown:

  • The wearing of faces masks will be required at all times both indoors and outdoors as our team assists incoming sample testing requirements and answering client queries, particularly for our clients operating in essential services;
  • Work-from-home (WFH) arrangements will continue to apply for team members who are able to complete their role remotely of the lab; and
  • Door signage is in place to assist with protective measures. Please adhere to the directions and guidance provided.
