COVID Update: Envirolab Services Brisbane Operations During three-day Lockdown

Monday, 29 March 2021

The Queensland (QLD) this morning announced that Greater Brisbane will enter a snap three-day lockdown after recording 10 new cases of coronavirus, four in the community. Greater Brisbane will now go into a three-day lockdown as of 5:00pm (AEST) today, Monday 29 March 2021.

The premier said face masks will be mandatory for everyone in Queensland and all venues outside Greater Brisbane will only be allowed to host seated patrons. People will only be allowed to leave home to do essential work, shop, care for people or exercise. Greater Brisbane schools and all non-essential businesses must close from Monday afternoon. The lockdown will be reviewed on Thursday, ahead of the Easter holiday break.

Envirolab's priority remains on ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, clients and the community. Our Envirolab Services Brisbane office will remain open during the lockdown and will continue to maintain protective measures in compliance with the Qld Government’s guidelines. The following protective measures will apply during the snap lockdown:

  • The wearing of faces masks will be required as our team assists incoming sample testing requirements and answering client queries, particularly for our clients operating in essential services;
  • Work-from-home (WFH) arrangements will continue to apply for team members who are able to complete their role remotely of the lab; and
  • Door signage is in place to assist with protective measures. Please adhere to the directions and guidance provided.
