Making a Difference

Founding Envirolab Services in Sydney (2005), Tania’s leadership as Managing Director has been instrumental in developing the company into the leading independent commercial laboratory testing services provider it is today. The organisation is currently composed of a network of laboratories and offices across Australia and New Zealand, including Envirolab Services in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin and Brisbane; MPL Laboratories in Perth; and LABTEC in Auckland. A true leader of the culture within Envirolab, Tania strives to give back to the profession and education by supporting the career development of her staff and offering industry placements for students. Tania actively and voluntarily undertakes senior leadership roles in the RACI and UTS Science Industry Advisory Group.

Tania said that being selected as a recipient was a humbling and energising experience. “I am deeply honoured to have been selected as the recipient of this distinguished award. I am proud to join past and current winners, all being such inspiring and incredible people.” She joins 10 other recipients across 11 categories, selected by a panel of judges from a total of 62 nominations and then ratified by UTS Chancellor Catherine Livingstone, AO.

The Envirolab Group extends its congratulations to all nominees and recipients to date.

About UTS Alumni Awards Program

The annual UTS Alumni Awards program celebrates the exceptional achievements of outstanding alumni of UTS in their professions and communities. High achievers are not only professionally distinguished in their fields, but also driven by a desire to create a lasting impact in the world.

Each year, colleagues and members of the community are invited to nominate UTS alumni during a nomination campaign period. From these nominations, a judging panel will then meet to determine winners for each category. Recipients of the awards are announced at an annual celebration.

In 2022, finalists, their guests and distinguished members of the UTS community were invited to attend the UTS Alumni Awards Gala Dinner held on campus in the Great Hall, Sydney, on Thursday, 20 October 2022.

For more information about the program visit the UTS website or refer to the university's news release
